Chen Hsong Holdings
Limited was established by Dr. Chiang Chen in 1958. After half a century
of endless efforts, Chen Hsong has grown from a small machinery workshop
to one of the largest manufacturers of injection moulding machines in
the world. Chen Hsong produces around 15,000 machines annually ,approximately
1 machine sold in 10 minutes, with a customer base covering more than
65 countries worldwide including China, Taiwan, U.S., Canada, France,
U.K., Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and most S.E. Asian countries.The clamping
force is from 20 tons to 6,500 tons and injection rate is from 28.4 gram
to 30,000 gram. Chen Hsong Holdings Limited has over 3500 dedicated staff.
The average annual turnover is about US$ 2155 million.
Chen Hsong’s leading position in the industry is secured through relentless
pursuit of technology advancement, manufacturing innovation, non-compromising
service level and a mind for excellence.
Chen Hsong listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1991 (Stock Code
00057). Dr. Chiang donated all of his shares to establish the non-profit
Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation with an objective to initiate
the development of manufacturing industry and technology throughout China.
Chen Hsong, with its headquarter in Hong Kong, has set up its main manufacturing
and R&D centers both in our 560,000sqm Chen Hsong Industrial Park
in Shenzhen, China and in our plants in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Chen Hsong has
also developed manufacturing plants in Shunde, Ningbo and Shangdong, capturing
talents, information and technology advantages in most of the Greater
China areas.
Chen Hsong’s major direction for development is to introduce high technology.
In the earlier developing stage, Chen Hsong launched the first two-colour
extrusion blow moulding machine in 1959 and had gained applaud throughout
the industry. In the 60’s, Chen Hsong launched the first locally designed
and manufactured 10-ounce in-line screw-type plastic injection moulding
machine and received the most distinguished “New Product Award” from The
Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong in 1966. Chen Hsong’s
continuous outstanding performance in introducing new products and technologies
has made it world recognized. The CHEN-PET, two-stage preform moulding
turnkey system was developed and launched in the nineties. Thereafter,
both the new series all-electric injection moulding machine and the first
super-high-speed injection moulding machine were also launched in 2001.
In 2002, Chen Hsong launched its exclusively cosmetically appealing designed
of circular platen, specially streamlines the stress distribution field
and reduces stress concentration and prolongs its lifetime. The circular
platen was awarded the “Utility Model Patent Certificate” in China, and
process is underway to gain international patent. The Jetmaster Large
Energy-Saving series was launched in 2003, the only line of machines with
energy-saving device of its kind throughout Greater China. The most recent
successful development, the “iChen” Networked Shop Floor Management System
was launched in 2004.
Chen Hsong has consistently applied advanced international management
concept, with the support of information technology to maintain a leading
position in the industry. To further improve product and cost efficiency,
Chen Hsong has adopted the US Oracle Management System and upgraded all
computer systems in order to reach world class standard in terms of management,
proven by the awards “ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Certificate” achieved
in Hong Kong in 1994 and the “ISO 14001 Quality Assurance Certificate”
in Taiwan in 2000. Over the years, Chen Hsong has been granted many awards:
“New Product Award” by the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong
Kong in 1966; The Governor’s Award for Industry in 1991;
“CMA Machinery & Equipment Design Award” to our CHEN-PET, two-stage
preform moulding turnkey system in 2000 and the Circular Platen was awarded
“Utility Model Patent Certificate” in 2002. The iChen System was awarded
the Machinery and Equipment Design in the 2004 Hong Kong Awards for Industry.
In 2005, Chen Hsong Machinery Co., Ltd was awarded “The Shenzhen Top Brand”
from SFIE of Shenzhen, China and R3000 Controller System was awarded the
Grand Award in the Linux Appliance Category of 2005 Linux Business Award.
And, Chen Hsong was awarded one of the 200 Finest Companies in Asia by
Forbes.Chen Hsong was named the No. 1 Sales Turnover of its kind in China
by The Chinese Enterprise Directory.The Chen Hsong Group was ranked the
"China Top 500 of Mechanical Industry" and listed the “Top 100
most vital enterprises in China in 2006”. In the same year, Chen Hsong
was successively awarded the No. 1 Sales Turnover of its kind in China
by China Enterprise Directors Association.
Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Lai Yuen Chiang firmly believes plastic is
one of the most demanding substance in the 21st century. She has great
confidence in the development of the plastics industry worldwide as well
as in China. To fully develop the China market, Chen Hsong has relocated
to the 560,000sqm Chen Hsong Industrial Park in Shenzhen, China. Chen

top quality. The Industrial Park has become Chen Hsong’s flagship in production
and R&D.
Chen Hsong is the only plastic injection moulding machine manufacturer
